The Return of Holistic Healing

By William A. Rogers AKA Tony Rogers

Natural healing options have seen tremendous growth over the years. Holistic wellness is now a trillion-dollar industry. Many seniors have turned to natural wellness options to reduce or eliminate their dependency on pharmaceutical drugs and their many dangerous side effects. Others have explored holistic healing methods to naturally address hypertension, depression, diabetes, and pain management.

Over the past year, the fear and anxiety around the COVID pandemic have provided an even greater interest in natural ways to improve and maintain a healthy lifestyle. For an exceedingly long time, there was no vaccine available, it is still not available to many for a host of reasons.

Even if you get vaccinated it is not a cure, it will only reduce the dangerous and life-threatening systems of COVID by building immunity in your body. Holistic health practitioners and natural products have become more popular because they can help build a strong immune system naturally.

Where do you go when your doctor cannot help you? You might not hear, read, or see information about holistic healing options in your major media outlets. It was for this reason the seven-day Harlem Holistic Wellness Week (H2W) marketing initiative was created eight years ago.

The major focus of H2W is to provide a platform to connect those looking to explore natural and holistic methods for improving their health with the holistic and natural health practitioners, businesses, organizations, and products that can help them.

H2W traditionally starts on the last Saturday in April to the first Saturday in May. April 24th to May 1st are the dates this year. H2W will be mostly virtual again this year on the www.h2w.nyc website.

The last Saturday in April is also World Tai Chi and Qigong Day. Thousands of people throughout the world are introduced to the natural healing benefits of Tai Chi and Qigong.

The H2W Harlem Tai Chi and Qigong celebration will take place on Saturday, April 24th in Marcus Garvey Park at 124th Street at the Madison Avenue entrance from 10:00 am to 12 noon. This will be a wonderful way to start H2W2021 live. The event will be organized by Great Grand Master Abdul Musawwir who is a friend and has been my Shifu (teacher) for over 20 years.

Abdul Musawwir has taught Tai Chi and Qigong in Harlem for 40 years and is considered one of the top African American Tai Chi Qigong Shifu’s in the country. I invite you to come out to the opening day for H2W2021 and be introduced to qigong healing exercises for seniors like Ba Duan Jin.

Confirmed speakers for the H2W virtual workshops and interviews are Dr. Jewel Pookrum, (internationally known author and natural wellness practitioner)Dr. Jana B. Woodhouse (health & wealth) Raymond Pinkey, (owner of the Freetown Holistic CBD dispensary) , and Mu’tun Sebi the wife of the late Dr. Sebi, Mrs. Sebi is continuing the lifesaving natural healing work of her internationally renowned husband.

It might seem that natural and holistic healing practices are returning but, they never really left. Mainstream media and the current medical industry never seem to focus on promoting the use of natural methods to address any illness.

The powerful pharmaceutical industry has a lot to do with that. Where is the profit in promoting a lifestyle, products, and self-awareness that can naturally address most of the illnesses that people take medication for currently?

Our subconscious mind is the most powerful natural healing tool that we have. Nature has also provided natural herbs and many different vibrational healing options to bring balance and healing to our electronic body. If you would like to participate in this year's H2W digital natural wellness program as a vendor visit www.h2w.nyc

If you are interested in exploring natural holistic methods to address most illnesses visit the H2W website to learn the dates of H2W2021 programs, make sure you do your own research also.
